Rowan University Pioneers International Education with New Branch Campus in Egypt.

US Expanding Educational Horizons: Rowan University Opens Its First International Campus in Egypt

Rowan University is a public research university, renowned for its academic brilliance and swift expansion. It is the third fastest-growing public university in the United States, ranked 88th among the best public universities, and ranked 40th for its entrepreneurship programs according to Princeton Review. This university is well known for its pioneering teaching and research methodology, dedication to students' success, and providing numerous undergraduate and graduate programs to equip students for a global workforce.

Recently, in partnership with Modern Educational Services, an education investment firm, under the direction of Dr.Ash Rofail, this university announced its first overseas branch campus in Egypt. This initiative not only strengthened the academic and cultural ties between Egypt and the United States but also enhanced the rate of higher education in Egypt, which is currently 66.5%. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will guide the project focusing on increasing the number of foreign university branches. Dr. Anthony Lowman, Minister of Higher Education in Egypt, Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister Counselor of the U.S. Embassy, and other prominent members of the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Rowan University were present at the signing event.

Currently, 3.7 million students benefit from university education, with an expected increase of 5 million by 2030. This will provide more educational opportunities and competitiveness. As Dr. Ayman Ashour mentioned, internationalizing education can improve Egypt's higher education system, increase its competitiveness, and offer international credentials locally. U.S. Ambassador Herro Mustafa Garg reaffirmed the U.S. government's commitment to assisting Egyptian universities. She stated that this program supports the development of Egypt's human capital and economic expansion by enhancing collaborations between American and Egyptian organizations.

Rowan University's president, Dr. Anthony Lowman, emphasized the school's commitment to providing a variety of programs catered to both domestic and foreign students. He pointed out that the university offers prestigious degrees in business, science, and engineering, with internationally recognized credentials and a curriculum that is the same as that of the university's main campus in New Jersey. The new campus will be a center of excellence centered on subjects that will shape the future, such as artificial intelligence, supercomputing, engineering, entrepreneurship, business, innovation, finance, media, and pre-medicine, according to Dr. Ash Rofail.
By integrating global industry collaborations into the educational process, these centers will increase the employability of students, provide more chances for research, and support the launch of new businesses. The institution will also provide a unique pre-med program that guarantees entrance to Rowan University's medical school.

According to Dr. Rofail, assistance from the US Embassy demonstrates the solid and long-lasting ties between Egypt and the US. This partnership is a testament to the mutual respect and collaboration between both countries and the steps taken by the U.S. to make this vision a reality is highly appreciated.

With this new cooperation, the University is taking a bold step toward becoming more globally recognized and offering top-notch education in Egypt. The institution wants to lead the way in knowledge and innovation and equip students for success in a changing global environment.
