Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Reveals Recruitment Plan for 6,100 Teachers

District Selection Committee (DSC) Notification Unveiled for Teaching Positions

During a news conference at the Secretariat, Andhra Pradesh's Education Minister Botcha Satyanarayana announced the DSC’s decision to fill teacher positions. The government will fill 6,100 teaching positions through this announcement. These positions include 2,280 SGTs, 2,299 School Assistants, 1,264 TGTs, 215 PGTs, and 42 Principals.

The State Government has released two GOs, No. 11 and 12 to hold tests and fill positions. Satyanarayana also unveiled the DSC 2024 exam website. Instructors will be hired for schools that are run by seven different management entities including Municipal, Zilla Parishad, Mandal Parishad, Andhra Pradesh Model Schools, and others. All the teacher vacancies which will come up till next April will be filled through the DSC. 

122 examination centers will be arranged and computer-based examinations will be administered. The fee is to be paid between February 12 and 21, and the candidates will receive a ‘Journal Number’ which they can use to submit their applications. The tests will be available from March 15 to 30 and the results will be announced on April 7. The Commissioner of School Education’s office has launched a dedicated assistance desk, which anyone can contact.
