Inbix ADNAT International Conference to Feature Renowned Experts in Bioinformatics and Archaeology

Celebrating 100 Years of Harappa Excavation at Inbix ADNAT Conference 2024

Bioclus, the largest bioinformatics society in the Indian subcontinent, is set to organize the Inbix ADNAT International Conference 2024, in collaboration with ADNAT, from November 27 to 30 at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in Varanasi. This multidisciplinary conference will bring together eminent scholars worldwide, spanning regions from America to Australia. Prof. B.V. Sharma, Director of the Anthropological Survey of India, will inaugurate the program who is set to present the paleoanthropological research conducted by his institute. The conference will feature cultural programs, and along with that, international guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a river cruise showcasing the temples of Banaras, the Ganga Ghats, and the renowned Ganga Aarti ceremony.

This conference will underscore the significant advancements in bioinformatics, offering a platform for global experts to share their knowledge and experience. Moreover, special lectures will be delivered to celebrate the centenary of the Harappa excavation and will feature cultural programs to enrich the overall experience. The conference will feature 11 world-renowned scientists from eight countries, including Prof. Bruce Whitelaw, Director of the Roslin Institute in the UK, and Prof. Ian Mathieson, an ancient DNA expert from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Irene Gallego Romero, a researcher specializing in Denisovan humans; and Prof. George van Driem, a distinguished linguist from the University of Bern.

In addition to these distinguished guests, over 300 young scientists are expected to participate, including 56 prominent researchers from 50 universities and research institutions across India. One of the event’s key highlights will be a special lecture by journalist and historian Surinder Kochar, known for discovering the Ajnala skeletons. Furthermore, Prof. Vasant Shinde, known as the "Rakhigarhi Man"; Vinay Gupta from the Archaeological Survey of India; and Anil Suri from Denmark will enlighten the participants by exploring India's antiquity from an archaeological perspective.

The conference will feature presentations from 10 young Indian scientists, 72 scientific posters, and a series of panel discussions. Additionally, the Dr. Lalji Singh Memorial Lecture, commemorating the 25th Vice Chancellor of BHU, will be conducted, this conference is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the future direction of scientific research for the next five years.

Prof. Gyaneshwar Chaubey, a gene scientist from the Department of Zoology and the convener of the conference, mentioned that the event would explore the potential of advancements in whole-genome sequencing, including those related to disease-causing organisms, to enhance our ability to protect against future epidemics.
He also highlighted the evolutionary significance of human adaptation to various geographical environments and pointed out how DNA sequencing developments have broadened our understanding of the molecular clock of human civilization, which has led to more effective treatments for genetic mutation-related diseases.

The Inbix ADNAT International Conference 2024 will bring together global experts to explore advancements in bioinformatics and human evolution. Featuring distinguished speakers and cultural experiences, the event promises to shape future scientific research and foster collaboration.
