BPSC Reschedules Teacher Recruitment Exam for July 19–22 Following Paper Leak Scandal

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), which abruptly canceled the highly anticipated teacher recruitment examination due to a big paper leak incident, has now announced new dates for the exam. The commission has rescheduled the tests for July 19–22 to rebuild trust and guarantee an equitable selection procedure for thousands of prospective instructors.

The exam was originally scheduled for March 15, but it was blemished by a controversy when it was revealed that a well-known gang had leaked the question papers. Along with shaking the education industry, this controversy sparked a broad crackdown, resulting in 266 arrests related to the leak. All eyes are on the steps to ensure that such a breach doesn't happen again as the BPSC gets ready for the postponed tests.

Parmar Ravi Manubhai, the Chairman of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), saw the live feed from CCTV cameras that were set up at several testing locations for the BPSC HeadMaster exam at the BPSC Command Control Room in Patna. The exam, originally scheduled for March 15, was canceled because a leaked question paper was found. The BPSC has published a new notification rescheduling the TRE-3 tests for July 19–22. On July 19 and 21, there will be one shift for the examination, and on July 22, there will be two sessions.

Previously, on March 15, the BPSC conducted the TRE-3 tests at 415 examination locations throughout the state, drawing about 3.75 lakh candidates. The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of the Bihar Police, which looked into the claims of the question paper leak, produced a report that was reviewed before the exam was canceled.

According to the EOU study, a gang had access to the exam question papers before the exams. After that, on March 16, an FIR was filed under several IPC sections, and a special squad was assembled, leading to the apprehension of 266 people. According to an official, investigations into the TRE-3, NEET-UG, and Bihar constable recruitment exam question paper leaks uncovered ties to the infamous Sanjeev Mukhiya gang.

Sanjeev Mukhiya's gang has been discovered to operate throughout Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Haryana. The insider stated that the gang was also accountable for paper leaks in the recruitment exams for veterinary doctors and English teachers in Haryana, as well as in several other exams held in Uttar Pradesh. Mukhiya was employed as a technical assistant at a government college in the Nalanda district of Bihar. He was recognized as the mastermind behind the NEET-UG paper leak. According to reports, the CBI, which assumed control of the NEET-UG case, is actively looking for him. They stated that Mukhiya was mentioned as a suspect in the document leak case by all those detained.

They further mentioned that there are rumors that the Mukhiya gang is associated with another gang headed by Ravi Atri, who was jailed before for allegedly leaking test papers. In this series of paper leaks, students are stunned and in deep shock about where to go for justice. In a recent development, the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced new dates for the teacher recruitment examination, which had been previously canceled due to a paper leak. The revised schedule is aimed at ensuring a fair and transparent selection process for aspiring educators in the state.

The BPSC has put in place several additional security measures aimed at protecting the examination process in reaction to the paper leak. These precautions include tighter guidelines for handling exam materials, increased monitoring at testing locations, and the implementation of biometric candidate verification. Candidates are feeling a mixture of relief and fear with the news of the revised exam dates. While some have thanked the BPSC for swiftly resolving the matter, others are concentrating on stepping up their study for the next test.
