Twinning Association’s Generous Gift Boosts Scholarship for Trinidadian Students at Brock University

Cross-Cultural Connection: Brock University and St. Catharines Twinning Association Collaborate to Support Students

Brock University is a public research institution located in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. It is uniquely situated as the only university in the country positioned within a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, located at the heart of Canada’s Niagara Peninsula on the Niagara Escarpment.

Students from Brock University hailing from Trinidad and Tobago recently engaged in community-building activities that bridged connections between Niagara and their home country. Organized by Brock International, the visit involved networking with members of the St. Catharines and Regional Municipality of Niagara Twinning and Mundilization Association on September 8.

During the event, the Twinning Association generously donated $1,000 to the University, aimed at supporting a long-standing scholarship for students from Trinidad and Tobago. This donation reflects the strong partnership between the University and the Twinning Association, which originated from the official twinning of St. Catharines and Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. This enduring relationship has empowered the university to facilitate educational opportunities for Trinidadian students, reinforcing Brock’s commitment to supporting their aspirations and promoting cross-cultural exchange.
