Salisbury University's 'Climate Stories' to Showcase Artistic Expressions on Climate Change
'Climate Stories' Exhibition and Events at SUAG Downtown Aim to Raise Awareness and Inspire Action

The whole world is struggling with the rising impact of climate change, artistic expression can serve as a powerful medium to raise awareness and inspire us to take meaningful action. The upcoming exhibition "Climate Stories" at Salisbury University Art Galleries (SUAG) Downtown, scheduled from January 24 to March 29, brings together a wide range of artists including Leigh Davis, Sondra Arkin, Ellyn Weiss, Lynn Cazabon, and Lionel Frazier White III. Through their compelling works, the exhibition delves into profound themes such as floods, migration, emotion, grief, and the precious gift of life on Earth.
In addition to the exhibition, several events are planned at SUAG Downtown. These events include an artist talk by Lynn Cazabon on February 20, an exhibition reception on February 21, a storytelling for climate change session with Shane Hall on March 5, and a discussion titled "Wicomico River Stories" with Gina Bloodsworth and Shane Hall on March 29. Furthermore, Lionel Frazier White III will be giving an artist talk on March 27.
The exhibition, co-sponsored by the Environmental Studies Department, aims to shed light on the current state of weather emergencies and how people navigate them. The public is invited to attend the events, and admission is free. Overall, this exhibition will offer a unique opportunity for individuals to engage deeply with the pressing issues of climate change through the powerful medium of art.
