MGU Invites Statewide Foreign Students for Cultural Extravaganza on August 23

Global Cultures Unite at MGU: Register Now for the August 23 Cultural Event

Founded on October 2, 1983, Mahatma Gandhi University is a prominent institution in Kerala, which over the years, has developed into a leading educational establishment, meeting the higher education needs of the people in Central Kerala. On August 23, the Mahatma Gandhi University campus will host “The International Conference on Cultural Diversity” which will bring together students from 31 nations belonging to various departments and related colleges. This grand event not only cultivates lifelong connections but also offers a chance to showcase student's talent and gain new creative insights from others.

An official statement issued on 19 August stated that the next International Confluence on Cultural Diversity at Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) will allow participants to present the main art forms from their native nations. They can give their performances singly, as a group, in person, or online by uploading video presentations of cultural events.

The event is open to foreign students from other universities in the state, as well as professors and representatives from non-governmental organizations interested in international cultural relations, who can register for a fee. MGU Vice-Chancellor, C.T. Aravindakumar will open the event at 9 a.m., with Pradeep Kumar, Zonal Director of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), giving the keynote presentation. MGU and its affiliated colleges will host 122 students from 31 nations, making this a worldwide cultural event.
