Case Western Reserve University Summer Research Grants: Opportunities for Undergraduate and Graduate Students

Introduction to the MSC Summer Research Grants

The Department of Bioethics at Case Western Reserve University is proud to announce the availability of Medicine, Society, and Culture (MSC) Summer Research Grants for both undergraduate and graduate students. These grants are designed to support research endeavors that explore the intricate intersections of culture, society, health, and medicine.

Applications for these grants will undergo a thorough evaluation by an interdisciplinary faculty committee, assessing not only the intellectual merit of the proposed research but also its potential impact on the academic and professional growth of the students. Recipients of the grants will be expected to submit a comprehensive written report and present their findings publicly within the academic year following the award.

For undergraduate students, awards of up to $750 each will be granted, with two recipients to be announced on April 22. These grants are open to any undergraduate student enrolled at Case Western Reserve University. The deadline for applications is Friday, April 5, by 11:59 p.m. Expenses incurred, up to the grant amount, will be reimbursed according to university policies through the Department of Bioethics. Interested students are encouraged to submit their applications promptly.

Similarly, graduate and professional students at Case Western Reserve University are eligible for grants of up to $1,500 each. Two recipients will also be announced on April 22 for this category.
