ISRO Launches Space Science and Technology Awareness Training Programme: START 2024

ISRO Partners with Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) to Offer Training to Students

India Space Agency, ISRO is all set to intrigue space-curious young minds through its new START program. The organisation is teaming-up with IIRS to teach undergraduates and postgraduates about topics like exploring planets, studying stars, understanding the sun, learning about our atmosphere, and doing experiments in space. Colleges that want to host the program are advised to sign up on the ISRO website by April 2.

The START program will be organized for a span of 2 months, starting from April 2024 - May 2024, and is open to all students pursuing science and technology in Indian colleges and universities. The main idea behind START is to make students curious about space and get them interested in space science and technology, along with giving them insights into India's space missions and research projects. Any final-year undergraduates or postgraduates studying science or technology are invited to join but they'll need to attend most of the online classes to take a test at the end, making them eligible for a certification from ISRO if they pass the test with at least half a mark. Students who perform exceptionally well might even get some special recognition.

By making students intrigued about space, ISRO is working on keeping India at the forefront of space exploration by training the next generation of space enthusiasts and researchers.

Editors note:

START program by ISRO is an exciting initiative aimed at igniting a passion for space exploration among students. By offering comprehensive training in space science and technology, ISRO hopes to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers throughout the country. Skoobuzz would like to encourage eligible students to take part in the program and explore the infinite potential of space research.
