MRSAFPI's 15th Course Admission Begins: Opportunities for Future Defence Officers

The Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI), founded by the Government of Punjab in 2011, provides training to young boys for permanent commission in the Indian Armed Forces through the National Defence Academy (NDA). The institute trains two batches of 48 cadets each in a rigorous two-year program focused on discipline, physical fitness, and leadership qualities. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, MRSAFPI offers an ideal environment for aspiring military personnel.

On December 8, 2024, it was announced that the admission process for the 15th Course at MRSAFPI had commenced. Interested candidates must submit their applications online by December 22, 2024, through the official portal at https://recruitment-portal.in. The Director of the Institute, Major General (Retd.) Ajay H. Chauhan, VSM, confirmed that the entrance examination for the new course will be held on January 12, 2025. Class 10 students who aspire to join the National Defence Academy (NDA) through MRSAFPI are encouraged to apply. Additionally, students currently in Class 11 may apply, provided they meet the age criteria for admission. Applicants can find detailed eligibility information on the Institute's website at https://www.afpipunjab.org.

The Director also highlighted the remarkable achievements of the Institute, noting that since its inception, a total of 238 cadets have joined various Service Training Academies, and 160 alumni have been commissioned as officers in the Defence Services. The results of MRSAFPI are considered among the highest in India. Major General (Retd.) Ajay H. Chauhan, VSM, encouraged students aspiring to become defense officers to apply for the new course at MRSAFPI.
