Covering subjects such as Korean, Mathematics, English, Korean History, and either Social Studies or Science, the exam lasts around eight hours. The results have a significant impact on students' university placements and, consequently, their future careers and social status. Preparation for the Suneung is rigorous, with students often attending private academies and taking numerous mock exams. This high-stakes exam reflects the intense societal and familial pressure placed on students to perform academically.

This year, South Korea recently concluded its annual CSAT, with around half a million high school seniors and graduates taking the exam in hopes of securing a spot at their desired universities. Among the examinees, 83-year-old Lim Tae Soo stood out for her remarkable perseverance, becoming the oldest test taker of the year. However, 70 years ago, her education was interrupted when her father fell ill, forcing her to put her studies on hold.

Afterward, she married, raised four children, and later helped care for three grandchildren. Despite the demands of family life, she never gave up on her aspirations. Finally, after years of dedication to her family, she found the time to return to school and pursue her long-delayed dream of continuing her education. Her determination and resilience have touched the hearts of people around the world, who are now rallying behind her in support of her quest to fulfill her dreams, regardless of age or obstacles.
