UICET Welcomes Japanese Students: Focus on Sustainable Energy and Chemical Engineering Innovations

To increase collaboration in the field of chemical engineering and share knowledge during an educational exchange program, Dr. S.S Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology Panjab University Chandigarh warmly welcomed a group of Japanese students led by Prof. Kabashima Hiromi from Yokohama National University.

The Japanese students met with Prof.Renu Vig, Panjab University’s Vice Chancellor highlighting the importance of international collaboration in education. She delightfully welcomed the students and emphasized that this visit of students enriched the academic community of the university and opened up exciting opportunities for future collaboration in research and student exchange programs. The Japanese delegation also expressed their gratitude for this gracious hospitality and anticipated that this cooperation would continue between both institutions.

This visit marks a critical turning point in Punjab University's ongoing efforts to strengthen its global footprint and cultivate fruitful partnerships with academic institutions across the world. The students interacted with UICET academic members, took part in lab experiments, and attended lectures on advanced subjects like process design, renewable energy, and industrial applications of chemical engineering.

The UICET Chairperson, Prof. Anupama Sharma, expressed her excitement for this exchange program as working with Japanese students not only broadens their students' perspectives but also strengthens their bonds with international institutions. This knowledge exchange program will pave the way for collaborative research and potential future collaborations.
