Welcome to Virtual World: NCERT's Virtual Expo Brings 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' to Every Student

Stress Buster Discussion: NCERT Ready With Virtual Pariksha Pe Charcha, For Today’s Exams Challenges

After the ongoing controversy of NEET examinations, the National Council of Educational  Research Training has come up with a unique initiative aimed at engaging and supporting students. By taking inspiration from PM Modi’s “Pariksha Pe Charcha” NCERT intends to replicate it in its next virtual expo. The action is being taken amid a heated dispute over purported anomalies in competitive exams, where the opposition has questioned the legitimacy of the nation's assessment procedures.

Modi has been under fire from the opposition and with a demand that he holds an interaction on the NEET medical entrance exam problem. This week, the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) published an Expression of Interest (EoI) document to find suppliers to build the Pariksha Pe Charcha Virtual Exhibition.

'Pariksha Pe Charcha' (PPC), which was introduced in 2018, is a yearly occasion wherein Prime Minister Narendra Modi engages with educators, parents, and students with strategies to manage the stress associated with exams. The NCERT is now developing a plan to create a portal that will house his remarks and enable students to take interactive 2D and 3D photographs with him. The goal is to create a virtual platform with an interactive 2D/3D environment and features that will encourage interaction and participation from attendees.

By replicating the annual ‘Pariksha Pr Charcha’ initiative by Prime Minister Narendra on a digital platform one crore or more visitors can be attracted to the website per year. Viewers from all over the nation can enjoy the event from the comfort of their homes via digital platforms. According to the EoI document, "the virtual platform will showcase the arts, crafts, and innovation projects undertaken by students, providing inspiration and motivation to others." The experience will be an immersive 3D/ 2D experience, similar to the physical exhibition, offering attendees a unique and engaging virtual environment," it stated.

There will be a leaderboard, selfie area, quiz zone, exhibition hall, and auditorium at the virtual exhibition. The auditorium will feature speeches and addresses from the Prime Minister of India and esteemed ministers, as well as crucial sessions and discussions necessary for students, it continued. "A dedicated selfie zone could be there to allow attendees to capture selfies with the Honorable Prime Minister, post them on a selfie wall, or download them and share them on social media."

Students' art, craft, and science projects will be on display at booths in the virtual exhibition hall of the proposed web platform."Each booth could either feature a 3D/2D avatar of the student along with their exhibits in interactive 3D/2D format (paintings & sculptures) or a video recording of the program or a 2D exhibit," as narrated by the management. In January of 2024, 2.26 crore people registered for the seventh PPC campaign. It is available for live streaming on social media and television.

As NCERT gets ready to launch there is a lot of excitement about the virtual expo's potential impact on student empowerment and educational debate in India.  Through the utilization of digital platforms, the project not only adjusts to the current landscape but also establishes a standard for future learning experiences that give priority to inclusion, accessibility, and student-centered methodologies.

Editor’s Note:

To boost confidence and regain faith in the education system, the step NCERT took to reenact 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' for their online expo amid the NEET debate demonstrates the organization's dedication to the welfare of students and high-quality education. The effort seeks to empower, educate, and inspire the next generation of learners as they manage academic hurdles and accomplish their goals by utilizing technology and leadership insights.

Skoobuzz appreciates the continuous efforts of NCERT to inspire the students after the recent challenges they faced in exams, as well as advising students to register for a virtual expo to benefit.
