10th Venus Art Festival Kicks Off June 6 at Raja Ravi Varma Art Gallery, Celebrating Creativity

The 10th Venus Art Festival is being organised from June 6th to June 10th, 2024, at the Raja Ravi Varma Art Gallery on Ghole Road. The festival is open daily from 11 am to 7 pm, and entry is free for everyone. The festival will begin on June 6th, 2024, at 5:30 pm, with the ceremony being conducted by Ajit Gadgil, Founder of Zapurza Museum of Art & Culture, and Dr. Sudhakar Chavan, a famous painter and art teacher. 

Surendra Karamchandani, the festival organiser, said, "The Venus Art Festival has supported artists, especially the new generation one, for 10 years in a row, and this year, we'll have art exhibitions, painting competitions, and workshops." The Venus Art Festival is set to have painting competitions for professional artists, amateur artists, art students, and school students, and it is looking forward to active participation. There will also be special workshops:

• On Saturday, June 8th, at 11:00 am, experts will host a workshop about the importance of Elementary and Intermediate exams for parents and school students.
• On Sunday, June 9th, at 11:00 am, Advait Kolarkar, a child painter with the 'Global Child Prodigy' award, will lead a free workshop. Advait started drawing at age two and a half and has held 15 solo exhibitions and joined 4 group shows.

There were 700 entries for the painting competition, among which 200 paintings will be displayed in the exhibition, and winners in each category will receive cash prizes. This year, the festival also celebrates Venus Traders' 50th anniversary with calligraphy demonstrations in Marathi and English, adding to the list of artistic masterpieces that one can adore while at the exhibition.

Overall, the Venus Art Festival 2024 will feature art exhibitions, painting competitions, and workshops for all ages and skill levels, providing a great platform for artists to show their talent and for art connoisseurs to cherish.
