Registration Opens Soon for 1.25 Lakh Internship Opportunities Across Top Companies

The registration period for the scheme runs from October 12 to October 25, 2024, followed by company selections from October 27 to November 7, 2024. Offer letters will be issued between November 8 and November 15, 2024, with internships set to begin on December 2, 2024.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must be aged 21 to 24 years and hold Indian nationality to be eligible for the internship. Full-time employees or students engaged in full-time education cannot apply, although those pursuing online or distance learning programs are eligible.
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates should have completed High School or Higher Secondary School, or possess qualifications like ITI certificates, Polytechnic diplomas, or degrees in fields such as BA, BSc, B.Com, BBA, BCA, or BPharma. However, graduates from esteemed institutions like IITs, IIMs, and National Law Universities, as well as those with professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, CS, MBBS, or MBA, are not eligible. Additionally, candidates involved in any government-led apprenticeship or training programs cannot participate.
Participating Companies:
Companies participating in the scheme have been selected based on their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) expenditures over the past three years. Additionally, any other company, bank, or financial institution that wishes to join can do so with approval from the MCA. If companies are unable to provide direct internships, they have the option to collaborate with their supply chain partners or other affiliated companies.
Duration of Internship and Certification:
The internship duration is set for 12 months, during which candidates must spend at least 6 months in a real-world working environment. Upon completion, interns will receive a certificate, which is expected to significantly enhance their career prospects.
Details of Stipend:
Interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000, with Rs 4,500 funded by the government and Rs 500 contributed by the companies through their CSR funds. Additionally, each intern will be granted a one-time payment of Rs 6,000 to cover incidental expenses upon joining. Companies may also choose to provide additional accident insurance for the interns.
