Bundelkhand University Implements AI-Based Verification for BEd Entrance Exam

Bundelkhand University (BU), Jhansi, has once again been entrusted with the significant responsibility of conducting the Joint Entrance Exam 2025 for admission to the Bachelor of Education (BEd) program. For the third consecutive year, BU will lead this important examination process, reflecting its commitment to maintaining high academic standards and ensuring a smooth and secure exam environment.

The online application window for the BEd entrance exam is set to remain open until March 8, with the exam scheduled to take place on April 20. However, BU has extended the deadline for submitting applications with a late fee until March 15, allowing more candidates the opportunity to participate. Last year, an impressive 2.2 lakh candidates applied for the entrance test, highlighting the exam's importance and reach. For registration, candidates from the general and OBC categories are required to pay Rs 1,400, while those from the SC and ST categories are charged Rs 700. Applicants from states outside Uttar Pradesh are also required to pay Rs 1,400.

BU is preparing to set up a high-tech command control room equipped with the Integrated Command Control Centre (ICCC), a modern surveillance system designed for live monitoring of examination centres. The strong room, examination room, and entry/exit points will be strictly monitored to ensure security and transparency. During the examination, a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol)-based system will be used to establish secure, real-time communication with all centres. Additionally, face recognition and fingerprint attendance verification using Artificial Intelligence, along with a Real-Time Biometric Attendance System, will ensure accurate candidate identification.
