Extended Deadline for CAT 2024: Apply Now Through September 20

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has announced September 20 as the new registration deadline for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024. Students who wish to apply at this time must finish registering and submit their application forms on the official website, iimcat.ac.in, by this date. The earlier deadline for registration was September 13. This extension comes after a comparable action taken the previous year, when the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow's CAT registration deadline was also extended to September 20.

CAT Registration 2024 Procedure:

• Students, to register for CAT 2024, have to visit the official website at iimcat.ac.in and click on the "New Registration" button on the homepage.
• Candidates then will have to enter their essential details such as date of birth, name, email ID, phone number, and country while registering.
• Students have to validate their registration by entering the OTP sent to their email or phone. After this students have to log in again using the credentials provided in their email.
• They will have to fill out the application form with their personal, academic, and work experience information and have to upload the required documents such as a passport-sized photo, signature, and category certificate, and be sure about the specified size requirement.
• Students need to choose their preferred IIM course, the city of the interview, and the exam city.

Later on, they have to pay the registration fee online and download the completed application form and fee payment confirmation for future reference. It is important to use an active email ID and phone number throughout the admission process, as all communication from the authorities will be sent to these contact details.

The CAT is conducted for admission to postgraduate and fellowship or doctorate-level business programs offered by Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) across the country. Additionally, several non-IIM institutions also use the CAT as part of their admission processes.
