Recently, IISER released the information brochure for its entrance examination. Interested candidates can register for the entrance exam from March 5 to April 15, with the exam scheduled to be conducted on May 25. The IISER entrance exam is intended for students seeking admission to the BS-MS dual degree program in science and the four-year BS degree program in engineering sciences and economic sciences, which is available exclusively at IISER Bhopal.

Candidates who have to pass class 12 or equivalent exams in the science stream with a minimum of 60 per cent marks (for general candidates) are eligible to apply for IAT 2025. However, candidates from scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), and persons with disabilities (PwD) categories will need to have a minimum score of 55% to apply for IAT 2025. Each of these categories requires a separate application form.

The important dates for the IISER application process have been shared to ensure the timely submission of applications. The application window will open on March 5 and close on April 15. A correction window for the entrance exam will be available from April 21 to April 22. Admit cards will be issued on May 15, and the entrance exam will take place on May 25. The answer key will be released on the same day after the exam concludes.

The IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) will feature 60 questions, with 15 questions each from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. The total duration of the test will be 180 minutes. The questions will be multiple-choice, with only one correct answer. As per the marking scheme, each correct answer will earn 4 marks, while each incorrect answer will result in a deduction of 1 mark. Unanswered questions will receive 0 marks. Therefore, the maximum possible score on the IAT will be 240. Candidates were advised to visit the official website for more information and to download the information brochure.
