Lehigh University Hosts First Event in India to Enhance College Admissions and Promote US Education

Lehigh University is among the USA's pre-eminent research universities and will host its first event in India. The Indian Government is trying its best to get the Indian education system on track, and collaborating with the USA's premier University will be a major move. The grand event is going to be conducted over two days, June 13 and 14 at Taj Lands End, Mumbai, This event benefits Indian culture, tourism, and Indian Education. will be benefited.

The workshop is for select college counselors and rising high school seniors and this event will provide insight into college admissions in the United States through interactive sessions. It aims to provide insight into the college admissions process in the United States through interactive sessions and will be attended by college counselors and high school seniors. Generally, the admission process in any foreign university is an uphill battle but through this workshop, Indian meritorious students will get a chance to present their knowledge as well as get to benefit from admission. 

Each college counselor attending Building Futures will be inviting a high-achieving high school senior to attend the workshop, allowing students from around the country to interact and bond over the event. The university’s faculty and facilitator will lead this student program. With universities hosting sessions for stakeholders and students. The university will host interesting sessions for the stakeholders to make it more realistic. These sessions will include different ideas so the students can relate to them.

1. Admissions Application Review: Here counselors will serve as admissions officers and will review three mock applications, simply allowing students to relate how the original interview will occur, and what types of questions will be asked. The setup will provide students with an insight into the preparation they need and how much they have to prepare if they want to get admission to Lehigh University.
2. Meeting current LU student panel: The prospective students hear directly from current students about why they chose Lehigh, their education pursuits, their achievements and goals, what makes it different from studying in the US, and what their career aspirations may be.
3. Uniquely Lehigh:  Students will hear what makes Lehigh unique, and why students prefer Lehigh over other universities, students will also learn about Iacocca internship opportunities, Lehigh Nasdaq Centre's interdisciplinary and inter-collegiate collegiate programs, creative inquiry, experiential learning, and approach to cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset. Knowing about Lehigh University students will provide space and opportunities to choose the right path.
4. Global Entrepreneurial Leader Workshop: Entrepreneurs are the future leaders and and so to empower students to develop entrepreneurial leadership skills workshops will be organized, Pratheek Palanethra Lehigh alumni who was a Lehigh alumni featured on Shark Tank India will be a judge on the panel.

Overall the Lehigh University workshop will be a great space for discussion and interested students will get a closer look into the life and facilities that the university will provide.
