New NSDCI-IDP Initiative to Address Skill Gaps and Enhance Language Proficiency for Global Careers

NSDC International Limited (NSDCI), a subsidiary of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), has partnered with IDP India, the distributor of IELTS exams in India, to boost the global employability of skilled Indian professionals. The initiative seeks to address skill gaps and language proficiency, enabling professionals in sectors like healthcare, IT, engineering, and hospitality to compete in international job markets.

Through this collaboration, NSDCI and IDP India will create a learning and testing ecosystem, combining digital tools, training modules, and customized programs. Over the next two years, the program aims to support 75,000 skilled professionals, with 20,000 expected to earn IELTS certification, enhancing their readiness for both domestic and global career opportunities. This will leverage NSDC International’s expertise in skill and vocational training alongside IDP’s proficiency in English language assessment to deliver customized programs and certifications, ensuring alignment with global employability standards.

Through its testing partner, Planet Edu Exams Pvt Ltd., IDP India will develop integrated English language proficiency training programs to prepare candidates for the demands of international employers. Participants will have access to advanced digital resources and customized IELTS training modules, enhancing their readiness for global job markets. The IELTS Star framework will assess individual learning needs, provide targeted support, and track progress, ensuring participants are well-prepared for competitive international opportunities.
