Industry Triumph: Rising Stipends and Job Offers for Top Institute Graduates

Premier Institutes Yield High-Paying Internships and Job Offers

Students can see an increasing trend in promising opportunities from renowned educational institutes such as IIT Mandi, RV College of Engineering, and Vellore Institute of Technology. 27 students from IIT Mandi have secured stipends of Rs. 1 lakh or higher in different tech companies. 

In RV College of Engineering, only 8 students received a stipend of around 1 lakh per month. This year the number has increased significantly to 39 students receiving similar stipend. Even Vellore Institute has 30 students with a stipend of 1 lakh.

Multiple internship programs are being offered by prominent companies such as Couchbase and Amazon, ranging their stipend from 1.1 lakh to 1.2 lakh. For technical roles, companies such as Amazon, UiPath, and Microsoft are providing stipends of Rs. 1.4 lakh. In addition, Walmart, Goldman Sachs, Palo Alto as well and Google have offered a stipend of Rs.1 lakh.

A significant number of students were able to secure permanent positions in the companies after finishing their internship. Pro chancellor at Chandigarh University has emphasized that the conversion rate from internship to full-time roles is very high in Indian technological companies. These companies offer annual salaries ranging from Rs. 40 lakh to Rs. 65 lakh. In addition, international positions also have handsome compensations going up to Rs. 1 crore annually.
