Excellence In Education: Indian Schools Make Global Mark

It is a moment to celebrate as three Indian schools have been named as winners of the World’s Best School Prizes 2024. Schools from Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu have been recognized globally for this incomparable achievement, marking a record year for Indian schools, with two set to receive USD 10,000 each. The three Indian schools recognized are Ryan International School in Vasant Kunj, Delhi; CM RISE School Vinoba in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh; and Kalvi International Public School in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.

Globally, Colegio Maria de Guadalupe in Argentina was awarded the World’s Best School Prize for Community Collaboration. Istituto Galilei-Costa-Scarambone in Italy received the prize for Supporting Healthy Lives 2024, while the First Ukrainian School in Poland, backed by the Unbreakable Ukraine Foundation, won the prize in the Overcoming Adversity category, as selected by an expert Judging Academy.

Vikas Pota, the Founder of T4 Education and the World’s Best School Prizes, noted that India having three successful schools demonstrates that its institutions are among the best globally. He expressed hope that governments would learn from these examples of high performance and commitment to address major educational challenges.

CM RISE School Vinoba, a state-run institution that was originally established for tribal girls in an urban slum community, won the prize in the Innovation category. Ryan International School received the World’s Best School Prize for Environmental Action. Kalvi International Public School was recognized as the winner in the Community Choice Award category, which had 50 shortlisted schools. Delhi’s Ryan International School was recognized for its innovative projects aimed at addressing water scarcity and pollution, including hydroponics and biogas plants. The school plans to use the prize money to enhance its green technologies and set up a start-up incubator for student-led environmental initiatives.

Grace Pinto, Managing Director of Ryan International School, expressed immense excitement over the school being named the World Champion for Environmental Action in 2024. She thanked Christ for the honor and expressed gratitude to T4 Education for recognizing their efforts.
