Xpressions 2024: Students Showcase Talent and Innovation at Adamas University

The School of Media and Communication (SoMC) at Adamas University hosted "Xpressions 2024" from November 20 to 21, marking the second edition of their dynamic national media fest. The show's theme, "Seasons," featured a unique blend of traditional and contemporary designs, captivating the audience and leaving a lasting impression. The event showcased a variety of activities, including a Ramp Show, Photography Competition, Dance Competition, Poster Making, and Open Mic.

Participants from across West Bengal and various higher educational institutions joined the event at the university. Building on the success of last year, this year's program saw even greater enthusiasm, with students from multiple disciplines taking part. It provided a platform for students, artists, and creatives to connect, share ideas, and celebrate diverse expressions.

The celebration was graced by renowned art director Ms. Ekta Bhattacharyya, who has worked on numerous national and international projects and is a celebrated author of contemporary books. The event's highlight was the Ramp Show Competition, which brought together fashion enthusiasts, designers, and models for a mesmerizing display of style and creativity. The program also allowed students to showcase their talents in various areas, including Photography, Poster Making, and Reel Making, truly highlighting the diverse creative abilities of the participants. The Open Mic Competition also allowed students to raise their voices and express their emotions.

The fest aimed to foster a spirit of innovation, push the boundaries of conventional art and media, allow creativity to flow, and showcase the power of artistic expression. Prof. (Dr.) Akash Deep Muni, Associate Dean of the School of Media and Communication, served as the event’s convenor. At the same time, Ms. Ipsita Banerjee and Dr. Sayak Pal were the co-convenors of "Xpressions 2024."

This event provided a platform for creativity and expression, where students from various disciplines confidently showcased their talents. It also offered them the opportunity for innovation and collaboration through multiple activities.
