IIM Sambalpur Launches Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship Bootcamp

Women’s Empowerment Summit Announced as Part of IIM Sambalpur’s Vision

In today's world, the growing influence of AI can be seen everywhere, whether in medical, engineering, industry, or the education sector. The day is not far off when school students will study in AI-operated classrooms and benefit from the personalized learning experience. The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur has launched AI-enabled teaching faculty in its classrooms to foster innovative and transformative learning experiences for students.

On its 10th foundation day, Professor Mahadeo Jaiswal, the Director of IIM Sambalpur, emphasized that AI would reshape the learning environment. With the involvement of AI, the role of teachers would evolve from merely delivering lectures to creating and facilitating engaging learning experiences. This strategic initiative aimed to enhance the quality of education and promote more dynamic engagement with students.

IIM Sambalpur has demonstrated remarkable growth over the past decade, increasing from 49 MBA students in 2015 to a vibrant community of 320 members in 2024, with an impressive 75% female representation. Keynote addresses at the occasion were given by prominent members of the business, including Uday A. Kaole, CMD of MCL, who commended the institute for its creative spirit and dynamic atmosphere.

Aligning with the vision of Viksit Bharat, the institute also announced plans for a Women’s Empowerment Summit scheduled for February. Along with that IIM Sambalpur plans to establish three Centers of Excellence and diversify its MBA program by the National Education Policy’s emphasis on international accreditations, as stated in the press release. The event coincided with the launch of the Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp, taking place from September 23 to 27. Endorsed by the Prime Minister, this initiative aims to cultivate entrepreneurial skills among student innovators nationwide.
