Shimla School Forges International Links Through Career Counselling Fair

Over 25 Universities Join Auckland House School’s Initiative for Global Career Guidance

In a strategic move to broaden academic horizons and foster global engagement, Auckland House School for Boys, Shimla, recently hosted a Global Career Counselling Fair, bringing together representatives from over 25 distinguished national and international universities. This initiative, held under the dynamic leadership of Principal Reuben John, aimed to cultivate enduring partnerships between students and leading institutions, thereby facilitating direct access to diverse academic pathways and career prospects.

Among the participating universities were Flame University, Krea University, Chitkara University, Ashoka University, Shiv Nadar University, Ahmedabad University, Bennett University, and Thapar University, alongside globally renowned institutions such as the Marangoni Institute, Les Roches, and Glion University. These institutions offered comprehensive guidance on programmes spanning liberal arts, business management, design, hospitality, international relations, and other emerging global disciplines.

Principal Reuben John remarked that the fair was not merely an isolated event but part of a broader vision to establish result-oriented collaborations that empower students to pursue their aspirations with clarity and confidence. He underscored the school’s commitment to providing international exposure, timely career counselling, and multidisciplinary learning, thereby preparing students to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.

The event featured interactive sessions, enabling students to explore academic programmes, scholarship opportunities, and global education trends. One-on-one engagements with university representatives allowed students to make informed decisions regarding their academic futures. The fair also aligned with the school’s long-term educational strategy, known as Auckland Vision 2030, which seeks to nurture globally competent, future-ready learners through purposeful and inclusive educational experiences. Such initiatives reaffirm Auckland House School’s dedication to equipping its students with the insight, confidence, and global perspective required to excel in today’s dynamic academic and professional landscape.

Such initiatives not only broaden academic exposure but also instil confidence in students as they prepare to navigate an increasingly competitive global landscape. It is encouraging to witness schools adopting a forward-thinking approach that prioritises career guidance, international collaboration, and holistic development. Events like these serve as valuable touchpoints in a student’s educational journey, offering insights that go beyond textbooks and classrooms.
