The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Class 10 board examination results, showcasing outstanding academic performances across various regions. Notably, the Bengaluru region, which includes Karnataka, demonstrated exceptional achievement with a pass percentage of 98.90%. This places Bengaluru second nationally, following Thiruvananthapuram and Vijayawada, both of which recorded a pass rate of 99.79%. The results reflect the continued dedication of students, educators, and institutions towards maintaining high standards in secondary education.
According to official figures, 93,148 students had registered for the exams, with 93,017 appearing. The examinations were conducted from 15 February to 18 March across 323 centres in 1,323 schools. Of the candidates, 50,150 were boys and 42,867 were girls, indicating strong and balanced participation from both genders. Among the top performers, Aditi Doddavaram from National Public School (NPS), HSR Layout, emerged as the school topper with an impressive score of 99.2%. She credited her success to the Cornell note-taking method, regular use of sample papers, and consistent support from her family and school. She found that note-taking aided concept retention, whilst practice papers reinforced her learning.
Similarly, Ayana Vinod, a 15-year-old student from Tattva School, achieved a commendable 93.6% while balancing academics with her passion for athletics. A trainee at the Anju Bobby George Sports Academy and a state-level medallist in long jump, she aspired to compete nationally. Her disciplined routine—comprising early morning study, afternoon revision, and evening training—played a vital role in her preparation. She emphasised that beginning her day early and thoroughly reviewing her answers deepened her understanding.
Furthermore, Sohham Shrinath Josi from NPS Koramangala succeeded with a study strategy focused on textbook learning and past question papers. He highlighted the importance of taking breaks to avoid feeling overwhelmed and appreciated his teachers' role in resolving doubts. As a grade one pianist and swimmer, he noted that music and social interaction were essential for relieving stress and staying focused.
Equally notable was Ishan Nair, a 16-year-old from Vibgyor High, who scored an impressive 98.2% through disciplined planning. He adhered to a routine of waking at 5 am to concentrate on maths and science, using sample papers and mock exams to monitor his progress. These tools helped him become familiar with the exam format and identify key chapters. In addition, he maintained a healthy work-life balance through his interests in guitar and kickboxing, which he said helped him manage stress and stay energised during the exam period. The exceptional performances by these students underscore the value of structured preparation, personal discipline, and holistic development in achieving academic excellence.
