Modernising Indian Education System with CBSE’s launch of High Tech Studio

Digital education is the application of technology to education through the use of digital tools, online platforms, and interactive content. The intersection will provide high-quality education to all individuals, bridge geographic gaps, and develop a generation with well-rounded skills for a globalized society. When the COVID-19 pandemic momentarily disrupted India's educational system, there was an increased need for technology-based instruction. But post that in India, digital education has become the future of using technology to learn and access knowledge.

Establishing a sophisticated video recording studio is a major step that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken to support digital education. This cutting-edge facility represents a significant advancement in the field of e-learning by improving the caliber and accessibility of educational information for students throughout India.

In India a total of 20.3 lakh students opted for ODL in 2021-22 which was an exponential rise from 14.6 lakh in 2020-21. In online mode, the number of students grew from 25,905 to 70,023, also including foreign students. Considering these facts CBSE took this revolutionary move for the future of India’s education system. Prominent authorities, including Ram Shankar, director (Training), Rahul Singh, IAS, chairman of the CBSE, Himanshu Gupta, IAS, secretary of the CBSE, and other department heads of the board, attended the recording studio inauguration ceremony.

The CBSE recording studio has various modern equipment such as green screens used for chroma keying, sophisticated audio systems, high-definition cameras, and lighting arrangements. With this configuration, top-notch instructional videos can be broadcast on multiple digital platforms, downloaded, and streamed online. The objective is to offer students interactive, captivating learning opportunities that transcend the confines of the traditional classroom. The instructional videos will be shown on the PM eVidya CBSE DTH Channel as well as other CBSE channels and platforms. In addition to being a place where information is created, CBSE's video recording studio acts as a training ground for teachers, highlighting the organisation’s intent to work with content producers and educational technology businesses to update and grow the student-accessible digital resource library regularly.

The goal of CBSE's virtual career development workshops is to improve professional abilities and facilitate decision-making for counselors, principals, teachers, parents, and students. On its official website, CBSE has published a timetable that includes information about workshop dates, times, themes, speakers, registration links, and webinars. On July 24 and 29, there will be webinars for parents and students. Students will discover the value of reflective thinking during the session as a way to develop self-reliance in recognizing their skills and abilities. They will receive guidance on identifying their skills and how to best utilize them in the future. Overall this new video recording studio is part of CBSE's broader strategy to leverage technology in education.
