DDI Engineers Motivate Students at Scotts Valley Event to Excel in the Software Engineering Field

Digital Dynamics Inc. Hosts “Introduction to Software Engineering” Session at Scotts Valley High School

Digital Dynamics Inc. (DDI) hosted an "Introduction to Software Engineering" session at Scotts Valley High School (SVHS), collaborating with the SVHS Coding Club and advanced math students. During the Lunch and Learn event they showcased their dedication to community engagement by sharing valuable insights into software engineering and also expressed its commitment to nurturing the next generation of tech talent by introducing students to its talented engineers: Danielle Laganiere (class of 2022), Arthur Weimholt (class of 2023), and Matthew Zurlin (class of 2022). All three are graduates of UCSC and provided relatable insights into their career journeys.

Weimholt, while reflecting on the experience, noted that the most impactful part of the presentation was the interactive aspect, where students asked questions and got their concerns addressed. DDI extended special gratitude to SVHS Coding Club President Prathik Kurella and IB Coordinator John Postovit for their hard work in organizing the event and encouraging participation from students interested in engineering.

Weimholt emphasized the importance of such events for high school students, noting that they help students become aware of the opportunities and choices that lie ahead. These experiences enable students to reflect and make informed decisions that benefit their futures. He highlighted that they represent the seeds of the next generation, underscoring the necessity for each generation to grow and learn to achieve what the previous one could not.
