EISB Athletes Deliver Outstanding Performance at Prestigious National Event

Stairs Youth National Games 2025: EISB Students Secure Gold, Silver & Bronze

The Stairs Youth National Games 2025, a prestigious national-level sports competition, brought together young athletes from leading schools across India, allowing them to showcase their skills, determination, and sportsmanship in track and field events. Recognised for its role in nurturing future sporting talent, the event serves as an essential stepping stone for athletes aspiring to higher-level competitions.

Among the standout performers were students from Ebenezer International School Bangalore (EISB), who made an impressive mark at the tournament, held in New Delhi from 19 to 21 May. Competing against top schools across the country, the EISB team delivered an outstanding performance, securing a total of 10 medals—3 Gold, 5 Silver, and 2 Bronze. Their achievements highlight the school’s commitment to athletic excellence and reinforce its position as a strong contender in national-level sports competitions.

In individual performances, Hamsini, competing in the Under-8 Girls category, won two Gold medals in the 50-metre and 100-metre sprints. Meanwhile, in the Under-12 Girls category, Bhanushree secured two Silver medals in the 100-metre and 200-metre sprints. For the Under-10 Boys, Viraaj Purohit earned two Bronze medals in the 80-metre and 100-metre sprints, while Mahat Harsha claimed two Silver medals in the same events. Additionally, Sohan Gowda, competing in the Under-12 Boys category, won a Silver in the 100-metre sprint and a Gold in the 4x100-metre relay.

The EISB community expressed immense pride in its young athletes, emphasising that their success at such a prestigious event reflects their dedication and the school’s commitment to all-round excellence. Ms Anuradha Krishnan, Head of School, highlighted that the students' achievements reaffirm EISB’s belief in unlocking limitless potential when provided with the right opportunities. She further noted that the school encourages students to explore “Possibilities Unlimited” across academics, sports, the arts, and more.

Similarly, Mr Ravi Kumar, EISB’s Sports Coordinator, praised the students for their determination, teamwork, and discipline, describing their sportsmanship as truly inspiring and reflective of the school’s values. The Stairs Youth National Games continue to be a key annual event, promoting grassroots athletic development and providing national exposure to young athletes across India.
