EWU Seminar Focused on Training Educators to Inculcate Innovation in Education

EWU Explores ‘Future-Focused Educational Innovations’ in Seminar

The Center for Research and Training at East West University (CRTEWU) organized a seminar titled "Innovation in Education" at the SM Nousher Ali Lecture Gallery. The event featured presentations from education experts Ferowza Sawpnil and Tansum Tanha, both from the Asian University for Women (AUW).

Ferowza emphasized the interactive learning approach implemented in the program and outlined the unique space that enables students to publish books based on their curriculum. She also addressed the Afghan Online Learning Project “Roshini e Omid,” which offers educational opportunities for Afghan girls in grades 10 to 12. Additionally, discussed the challenges and successes encountered by the project in providing quality education to girls under the Taliban regime.

Tanha, a teaching fellow in the MA in Education program at the Asian University for Women, highlighted her involvement in the Primary Training Program within the Rohingya Refugee Camps, where she oversaw the training of 1,100 educators. Professor Dr. M Ashik Mosaddik, the pro-vice chancellor of East West University, presided over the seminar session and emphasized the importance of innovation in education. He urged educators to explore new approaches to address the evolving needs of students.

Professor Dr. Muhammed Shahriar Haque, the Executive Director of CRTEWU, delivered the introductory speech, while Professor Dr. Md Sohel Rana, the Deputy Executive Director, provided the closing remarks for the occasion. A large number of faculty members, students, and officials from EWUCRT attended the seminar.
