Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is gearing up to start the admission process for various programs from February 1st. Students looking to enrol in undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD courses can apply for the academic year 2025-26. The university offers over 40,000 seats across 106 affiliated colleges and 18 universities. The applications for 46 master's programs, 40 PhD programs, and 34 undergraduate programs will be available online. Classes are set to begin on August 1st, and vacant seats in 20 undergraduate and 18 postgraduate degree programmes will be filled through the CUET.
This year, the university has introduced new courses including an MSc in Molecular Diagnostics, an MSc in Microbiology, BPT, a 3-year LLB, a PG in Applied Geoinformatics, and a PG Diploma in Radiological Physics. Additionally, one seat in each programme will be reserved for single girl child candidates, and up to 2% of each programme’s intake will be allocated under the sports quota. The CET 2025 schedule has been released, with 52 entrance exams from April 26 to May 18. Online counselling for MBA (via CAT), LLB, and LLM (via CLAT UG/PG) will begin on May 1, while counselling for other programmes starts on June 2. Admissions will be based on national tests like JEE Main, NEET UG, CAT, CMAT, CLAT, UCEED, NATA, and more, with some programmes also considering merit in qualifying exams. A one-time application fee of Rs 2500 covers both registration and counselling. Additionally, the EWS scholarship fund ceiling has been raised from 2.5 crore to 3.5 crore this year.
This year, 250 new seats have been added to various programs, building on the 1600 seats added last year. For the post-basic BSc Nursing programme, admissions will now consider CET scores, interviews, and the merit of qualifying exams, instead of CET scores alone. Similarly, for the BSc and MSc dual degrees in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, the admission process now includes CET scores and merit of qualifying exams, in addition to JEE Main and CUET scores.
For the MS in Packaging Technology, GATE, UGC-NET, and CSIR-NET scores have been added to the CET and CUET criteria this year. For the BS in Packaging Technology, admissions will now consider CET, CUET, JEE Advanced, JEE Main, and NEET scores. In the case of MTech in food processing technology and biotechnology, admissions will consider GATE, CET, and merit of the qualifying exam. The BSc and MSc in Environmental Science will continue to use CUET, CET, and qualifying exam merit as part of the admission process this year. GGSIPU is offering a wide range of new programs, enhanced admission criteria, and increased seats for the 2025-26 academic year, ensuring diverse opportunities for aspiring students.
