Strategic Rescheduling: Goa Board Aims for Seamless Exam Preparation for Students
Students Get Extra Time: Goa Board Shifts Class 12 Exams to February 10
Oct 07, 2024 |
Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has changed the date for the class 12 exams which were earlier scheduled on February 1 and now will take place on February 10. This change was made to avoid a date clash with the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) 2025, which is an entrance examination for engineering colleges.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has not yet announced the dates for JEE Main but this decision was made to ensure that students get sufficient time to prepare for the competitive exams. The rescheduling will enable students to manage their preparation for both the entrance exam and board exams more effectively. If JEE Main gets scheduled for the last week of January, students won’t have enough time to adequately prepare for their board exams, a circumstance that can be avoided now. The board has also provided a revised tentative schedule for both the general and vocational streams of class 12. Students can visit the official website to view and print the scheduled examination. The exams are scheduled to start each day at 9.30 A.M and the details about the specific sub-centres and locations for the exams will be announced later.
For the general stream, practical examinations are set for January 8, while vocational stream students will have their practical's on the designated dates. Exams will not be postponed under any circumstances, even if they fall on a public holiday.
Editor’s Note:
The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has officially rescheduled the Class 12 examinations from February 1 to February 10, 2025. This decision was made to ensure that students have adequate preparation time, particularly if the JEE Main exam is held during the last week of January. By rescheduling, the board aims to support students in managing their preparation for both the board and competitive exams effectively.
Skoobuzz advises students to take advantage of this rescheduling by planning their studies effectively. This will help ensure they have ample time to prepare for both their board exams and the JEE Main, allowing them to perform at their best in both assessments.
