Demystifying AI: Gonzaga Hosts Public Webinar to Build Confidence and Clarity

As artificial intelligence continues to reshape industries and daily life, Gonzaga University has announced plans to host a free public webinar aimed at helping women engage with these technologies confidently and critically. Titled Demystifying AI: Build Confidence and Clarity in the New AI Era, the event is designed to make AI more accessible and less intimidating for non-specialist audiences.

The session will take place on 13 August 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., and will be held online via Zoom. Those interested in joining have been advised to contact womenlead@gonzaga.edu for registration. Organisers said the webinar will strip away technical jargon and hype to offer a clear understanding of what AI is and what it is not. The programme will cover the basics of AI, machine learning, and generative AI, introduce key tools and use cases relevant to women leaders, and explain why women’s unique strengths will be increasingly important in the AI era. Attendees will also receive a personalised AI development roadmap, along with guidance on first steps to build AI literacy and confidence.

The webinar will be led by Dr Gena Hoxha, an executive and organisational strategist with a PhD in Leadership Studies. Currently serving as Chief of Staff and adviser to senior leaders, she has extensive experience helping organisations manage change and transformation. Dr Hoxha has designed and led leadership development programmes, created executive education initiatives, and launched AI-informed solutions aimed at improving business results and aligning organisational culture. Organisers said the event aims to equip participants with the clarity, fluency, and strategic tools needed to navigate the AI-driven workplace, encouraging informed engagement rather than passive adoption.
