The India Conference at Harvard (ICH), one of the largest student-led conferences in India outside the country, is making a grand return this weekend for its 22nd edition. Taking place at Harvard University in Boston on February 15-16, 2025, this year’s theme, "From India to the World," highlights India's growing influence in business, policy, culture, and academia. The event promises an exciting weekend filled with high-impact discussions and invaluable networking opportunities. With over 35 panel discussions, the conference will delve into India's role in global business, technology, climate, foreign policy, and culture. Additionally, attendees can look forward to hearing from over 90 esteemed speakers and participating in two new competitions.
The Conference is going to be a pivotal platform for shaping discussions about India's global engagement. Keynote speakers include prominent figures such as business leader Nita Ambani, designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Indian School of Business founding dean and Ashoka University founder Pramath Raj Sinha, Bharat Biotech co-founder Suchitra Ella, and NSE Managing Director and CEO Ashish Chauhan. The event aims to bring together thought leaders and professionals to explore India's expanding global impact.
Ayush Shukla, one of the co-chairs for ICH 2025, emphasized that the India Conference has always sought to advance the dialogue around India’s growth story. He noted that this year’s theme, "From India to the World," encapsulates India's transformative journey, where local ingenuity meets global impact. Shukla highlighted that this theme celebrates India's technological achievements and developmental progress and also the lessons Indians offer about collaborative communities, vibrant culture, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit. Arpit Garg, another co-chair, added that this year’s theme builds on last year’s theme, "India Rising." He explained that it reflects how India is now influencing the world with its ideas, talent, and innovations, positioning itself as a leader rather than just a follower.
This year’s event also promises new and exciting additions. Launchpad @ ICH will feature a startup pitch competition with $15,000 in non-dilutive funding and a policy hackathon offering over $10,000 in cash prizes. Additionally, the event will debut Art@ICH, showcasing the work of 10 traditional Indian artists and including a workshop led by renowned Gond artist Smt. Saroj Venkat Shyam.
