Women Lead at IIM Kashipur’s MBA (Analytics) Programme in 2025–27 Cohort

IIM Kashipur Launches 2025–27 Programmes Emphasising Diversity and Innovation

Launching the academic year 2025–27 with a focus on diversity and academic excellence, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur has welcomed a total of 433 students across its flagship MBA, MBA (Analytics), and PhD programmes. The induction activities ran from 23 to 26 June, culminating in the official inaugural session on 27 June 2025.

As per official figures on that date, the new cohort comprises 265 students in the MBA programme, 157 in MBA (Analytics), and 11 doctoral scholars. Demonstrating the institute’s dedication to interdisciplinary education, the group includes students from varied academic backgrounds, ranging from arts and commerce to science and engineering, as well as individuals with diverse professional experience. A noteworthy aspect of this year’s intake is the strong representation of women, who constitute 46% of the total cohort. The MBA (Analytics) programme stands out with 73% female students, while 31% of the flagship MBA intake and four of the 11 PhD scholars are women. This composition underscores IIM Kashipur’s efforts to promote gender inclusivity in management education.

Moreover, the cohort brings with it valuable industry experience, with students having worked at reputed organisations such as Infosys, Accenture, Deloitte, Wipro, L&T, Cognizant, ICICI Bank, EY, and HDFC Bank, enriching the academic environment through peer learning.

During the induction, students engaged in sessions with leading industry figures, including Jitendra Gohil, CFA, of Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Limited, and Nitin Madan of Barclays GCC India, who offered insights on finance, leadership, and strategic thinking. Further enhancing the orientation, the inaugural session featured international guests Dr. Anuradha Basu and Mr. Gurmeet Naroola from San Jose State University. They conducted an interactive session on innovation, artificial intelligence, and global entrepreneurship, highlighting synergies between IIM Kashipur and Silicon Valley.

Looking ahead, the institute aims to deepen its international outlook through initiatives such as the Study in India Programme, designed to promote research collaboration, faculty exchange, and student mobility. This marks a progressive step towards a globally engaged and inclusive academic environment at IIM Kashipur.
