IIT Delhi Enhances Student Outreach with Open House Sessions Across Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-Delhi), one of India’s most prestigious engineering institutions, has announced a series of Open House events for students who have successfully qualified in the JEE Advanced 2025 examination. As part of the ‘Experience IITD’ initiative, these events will be held in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, providing prospective students with a unique opportunity to gain insights into academic life, research avenues, extracurricular activities, and campus culture at IIT Delhi.

The programme, organised by the Office of Academic Outreach and New Initiatives, aims to support students in making well-informed decisions about their academic journey. Additionally, it will address key aspects such as course structures, hostel facilities, international exposure, and career pathways, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of life at the institute. For the first time, IIT Delhi is expanding its outreach by hosting Open House events across multiple cities, allowing students from different regions to engage directly with faculty, students, and alumni. The series will commence with an online session, “IIT Delhi Calling,” on 6 June (Friday) at 6:00 pm, followed by a hybrid event at the IIT Delhi campus on 7 June (Saturday) from 9:45 am to 5:00 pm. Simultaneously, an in-person session will take place at ICT Mumbai from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, and the final event will be held in Bengaluru on 8 June (Sunday) from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at IISc Bangalore.

During the Open House at IIT Delhi, prospective students will have the opportunity to hear from Director Professor Rangan Banerjee, alongside the Deans of Academics and Student Affairs. Additionally, the head of the Office of Career Services will address attendees, offering insights into placements, internships, and broader career prospects at the institute. A dedicated segment of the programme will focus on IIT Delhi’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, highlighting how students can transform their innovative ideas into viable ventures. Furthermore, attendees will receive detailed information regarding undergraduate admissions at IIT Delhi’s Abu Dhabi campus, covering aspects such as the application process and student experience.

The event will also feature interactive sessions where current students, faculty, and alumni will share their personal experiences of academic and campus life. To provide further insight, student clubs and societies at the Delhi campus will conduct live demonstrations and one-on-one counselling, showcasing co-curricular and student-led initiatives that enrich the IIT Delhi experience.
