Business and Innovation Fest Opens at VIT-AP with Focus on Creativity and Collaboration

In a bid to foster entrepreneurial thinking and cross-disciplinary creativity among emerging talent, the VIT-AP School of Business (VSB) at VIT-AP University is hosting InnoVITa 2k25, a two-day Business and Innovation Fest held on 11 and 12 August. The initiative is designed to provide a dynamic platform for students from universities and colleges across the region to demonstrate their business acumen, creative flair, and original ideas.

Bringing together formal competitions and informal engagements, InnoVITa 2k25 offers a vibrant blend of strategic challenges, innovation showcases, and entertainment-led activities. By encouraging participation across diverse domains, the fest seeks to cultivate a spirit of collaboration, experiential learning, and entrepreneurial confidence, hallmarks of VSB’s commitment to holistic business education.

The inaugural function commenced with a welcome address by Dr ArunKumar Sivakumar, Dean of VSB, followed by an event overview presented by convener Dr Mohd Abdul Muqeet Maaz. Presiding over the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Dr S.V. Kota Reddy underscored the fest’s role in nurturing leadership, creativity, teamwork, networking, and practical skills among management students. He further highlighted the university’s achievements in research, patents, and its sustained support for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Serving as Chief Guest, Dr Ameet Chavan, Director of the Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship Centre (IIEC) at VIT-AP University, elaborated on the start-ups supported by the centre and the institutional aid provided to accelerate their success. He emphasised the importance of innovation, adaptability, and ethical conduct in today’s evolving business landscape, urging students to use the fest as a springboard for learning, collaboration, and self-expression. The proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr Raghavendra, Associate Dean of VSB. Over two days, the fest is expected to feature 12 diverse activities spanning multiple business disciplines.InnoVITa 2k25 stands as a testament to VIT-AP University’s commitment to empowering future leaders through innovation-led education.
