Culinary Talent from Across India Competes in Distin-GU-ISH-ED 2025 at ISH

India's culinary heritage, an exquisite blend of tradition, creativity, and skill, reflects the rich culture of the nation. This vibrant spirit was brought to life during the Indian School of Hospitality’s (ISH) three-day culinary competition, Distin-GU-ISH-ED 2025. Held at the ISH campus in Gurugram, the event was a resounding success as it showcased the talent, creativity, and passion of aspiring chefs, home bakers, and industry professionals.

With the theme ‘Celebrating Excellence Across the Culinary Spectrum,’ the competition drew participants from across the country and featured a variety of categories. Furthermore, the event not only celebrated India’s diverse culinary traditions but also fostered teamwork and innovation among culinary enthusiasts. Adding to the excitement, Kunal Vasudeva, co-founder and managing director of ISH, remarked that Distin-GU-ISH-ED 2025 served as a platform for nurturing talent, fostering fresh ideas, and redefining the future of food and hospitality. Highlighting ISH's commitment to industry leadership, Vasudeva emphasised the importance of collaboration in driving progress and expressed his enthusiasm about the event’s energy and passion. He also shared his vision of participants taking the culinary industry to new heights.

Likewise, Chef Zubin D’Souza, Dean of Culinary Studies at ISH, lauded the event for spotlighting the evolution of culinary talent through innovation, mentorship, and competition. He appreciated the participants' creativity and technical skills and voiced confidence in the impact the next generation of chefs would have on the industry. The competition concluded on a celebratory note, with winners being honored across various categories. In the student category, Gargi Bagde, Ravi Kumar Singh, Sanwar Zara Bahadur, and Swati Singh were awarded a Nestle trophy and a Ditya hamper. Similarly, in the home cooks and chefs category, Shreshth Agarwal, Sneha, Shweta Arora, Julia, and Ram Anand were celebrated with the same honors. Among the professionals, chefs Piyush Rawat, Sri Ramya, Vasudha Sharma, Poorva Joshi, Niharika Arora, Khushi Kaushal, and Sahej Kaur emerged victorious.

Altogether, a total of 48 winners secured the first, second, and third prizes across all categories. In conclusion, Distin-GU-ISH-ED 2025 stands as a testament to ISH’s dedication to fostering innovation, inclusivity, and excellence in the culinary landscape.
