Jasprit Bumrah Lights Up Sathyabama University’s Fresher’s Day with Words of Encouragement

Sathyabama University is a private university that was established in 1987 and is well-known for its superior engineering, science, and technology programs. It has achieved a notable position in numerous rankings after receiving an "A++" grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council and is designated as a Category I University by the UGC. It has been included in the top 100 institutions for eight consecutive years and was placed at 51st position among universities in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2023.

Furthermore, the ATAL ranking places it in the Top 5 Institutions for Innovation in India. The institution provides a wide range of multidisciplinary programs in management, dentistry, science, engineering, technology, law, pharmacy, nursing, and allied health sciences. Recently the University welcomed cricketer Jasprit Bumrah with warmth and tradition on its Fresher's Day by President Dr. Marie Johnson and Chancellor Dr. Mariazeena Johnson. Vice Presidents Mr. J. Arul Selvan, Ms. Maria Bernadette Arul Selvan, and Ms. Maria Catherine Johnson were also present at the ceremony.

The World Cup-winning cricket player's visit thrilled the youngsters especially and made the event memorable for every student. Bumrah interacted with the students at the event and gave them words of encouragement, inspiring them to pursue their goals with zeal and commitment. The Sathyabama community was greatly impacted by his visit, which made Fresher's Day 2024 an unforgettable event for all those participating.
