KBTG Kampus Empowers the Next Generation of Tech Professionals with New Graduate Programs

KBTG and Leading Thai Universities Launch Master’s Programmes in Data Science and Cybersecurity

Kasikorn Business-Technology Group (KBTG), a subsidiary of Kasikorn Bank (KBank), specializes in delivering innovative digital banking solutions and financial services. Known for its customer-first approach, KBTG is dedicated to transforming the financial experience through advanced technology. In addition to its core financial services, the organisation invests significantly in technology development and education initiatives to support the growth of Thailand's tech industry.

KBTG Kampus, launched in 2022, was initially created to address gaps in Thailand’s technology education. The programme began with a partnership with King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) to develop undergraduate programmes, aiming to build a strong foundation for tech education. Building upon this initial success, Kasikorn has now partnered with leading institutions, including Mahidol University (MU) and Thammasat University (TU), to offer graduate-level programmes. This expanded initiative is designed to enhance Thailand’s tech education by integrating practical research and addressing real-world industry challenges.

Kasikorn's subsidiary, now offers three master's programmes in collaboration with these top universities, focusing on practical applications in key areas such as data analytics, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. These programmes include:

1. Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence for Business Analytics at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL)

2. Master of Science in Cyber Security and Information Assurance (International Programme) at Mahidol University (MU)

3. Master of Arts and Science Programme in Interdisciplinary Studies at Thammasat University (TU)

In addition to these graduate programmes, the oragnization plays an active role in student selection and provides ongoing support throughout their academic journey. This initiative will cultivate a pipeline of skilled professionals, which will help to reinforce its leadership in Thailand's IT sector. A recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony with Mahidol University and Thammasat University highlights the group’s dedication to the initiative.

The tech giant’s Kampus programme also includes several key components to further enhance students' learning and career opportunities:

KBTG Kampus ClassNest: Bootcamps developed in collaboration with leading institutions, where KBTG offers scholarships and potential career opportunities to graduates. Since 2024, over 1,000 participants have engaged in seven boot camps.

KBTG Kampus Apprentice: A hands-on programme that allows university students to work on real-world projects at KBTG. This initiative has now expanded to include master's level students, providing them with advanced professional experience.

KBTG Kampus Co-Research: A collaborative research programme involving universities and private sector partners. This initiative focuses on driving innovation and conducting deep tech research to create impactful products.

These efforts form part of the company’s ongoing mission to nurture the next generation of tech professionals and maintain its leadership in Thailand’s rapidly evolving technology sector. Educational institutions and industry groups interested in contributing to Thailand's tech education ecosystem are encouraged to collaborate with the organisation.
