Lakhs of students every year prepare for the undergraduate exams to get admission to various pioneering universities and for this, they need proper guidance and authentic resources. Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) is a technological division of the Kerala government’s General Education Department that has taken the initiative to assist and mentor more than 8,00,000 public school children as they get ready for various undergraduate entrance exams.
The initiative, titled "Key to Entrance," was launched on 28 September by General Education Minister V Sivankutty. The main objective of this initiative is to increase the educational opportunities for students and to support those who are enrolled in the commerce, humanities, and science streams. The students in government and assisted higher secondary and vocational schools can get free login access to a variety of learning resources, such as assignments, mock exams, and question papers, by visiting the initiative's dedicated portal, www.entrance.kite.kerala.gov.in. Students will benefit from daily live lessons, which will be aired on the KITE VICTERS channel on September 30 and be simultaneously broadcast on two PM eVidya channels reserved just for Kerala.
The curriculum will initially cover a wide range of courses, including Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, History, Political Science, Business Studies, English, and Geography. The self-assessment opportunities in every session will help students analyze their progress in the course and identify the areas for development. Students will be continuously accessed through online model tests which will guarantee effective learning results.
The Director of General Education (DGE) has ordered all schools to provide students with the required technical facilities to guarantee the initiative's seamless execution. With about 8 lakh students enrolled, this is Kerala's largest public entrance test preparation program, according to K Anvar Sadath, CEO of KITE, and is aimed to replicate the success of the previous year’s Crack the Entrance crash course, which witnessed excellent participation and impressive results for students who were preparing for Medical and Engineering entrance exams.
