Prestigious Moot Court Competition Set to Enhance Legal Advocacy Skills

The National Moot Court Competition 2024 has been announced with excitement by the Moot Court Society (MCS) of Amity Law School at Amity University Rajasthan. The competition allows law students from various institutions across the country to participate in a simulation where real court proceedings are held by arguing hypothetical cases. Students will get a chance to showcase their legal knowledge and advocacy abilities.

Mooting is crucial as it prepares future lawyers for the demands of legal practice, fosters a deeper understanding of the law, and promotes critical thinking and public speaking skills. This competition will be held in two stages: the Preliminary and Quarter-final Rounds. The first round will take place online via Microsoft Teams on November 4, 2024. The top teams from this round will advance to the Semi-final and Final Rounds which will take place in person on November 14, 2024, at Amity University Rajasthan.

There will be opportunities for participants to win special prizes and accolades while the winning team will earn a one-year subscription to SCC, and all participants will receive a complimentary one-month membership. The winning team, runners-up, best speaker, and best memorial will also get cash awards, trophies, and certificates of appreciation. The competition registration fee is Rs. 2300 + 18% GST.

The deadline for registration is October 20, 2024. The date of clarification release is October  22nd and candidates need to submit memorials in soft copy by October 25th.
