Britannica Introduces Innovative Learning Solutions Aligned with NEP 2020

The Indian education system is transforming like never before, with increasing involvement from global universities and the establishment of renowned foreign university campuses. This evolution is unfolding in new and exciting ways every day. Founded in 1768, Encyclopaedia Britannica is a trusted source of knowledge worldwide. Transitioning from print to digital, Britannica Education now offers various online resources to enhance critical thinking, research skills, and digital literacy for both students and educators globally.

It is a global leader in publishing encyclopedias, and recently announced plans to launch around 12 digital learning solutions in India, targeting teachers, students, and schools. Among these, two products will focus on upskilling and reskilling teachers, while four others will cater to K–12 students, providing resources such as digital libraries and e-books. The remaining six products will be designed for schools. All offerings will be subscription-based.

As the Indian education system adapts advanced technology and shifts its focus from traditional rote learning to skill-based education, global platforms have noticed. Britannica Education’s entry is perfectly timed to support the National Education Policy’s emphasis on digital literacy, foundational literacy and numeracy, and the development of 21st-century skills, including the 4Cs (Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity). The extensive offerings will prepare schools and libraries with the tools necessary to promote digital learning.
