‘Padhega India, Badhega India’: NIU Champions Access and Awareness in Landmark Bokaro Gathering

Bringing Campuses Closer: NIU Engages Bokaro Community on Higher Education and Leadership

Demonstrating its growing commitment to educational accessibility and regional outreach, Noida International University (NIU) recently hosted a landmark event in Bokaro. Held at Hotel Hans Residency in Sector 1, the gathering brought together over 200 participants, including dignitaries, educators, and community leaders, to deliberate on academic innovation, leadership, and the evolving role of universities in shaping India’s future. The event also highlighted NIU’s expanding national footprint and its mission to empower local talent through inclusive, high-quality higher education.

Mr Akash Sharma, Director of Admissions & Outreach at NIU, attended as the Chief Guest. He emphasised that education is the most powerful catalyst for societal transformation, noting the growing seriousness with which students and parents are approaching higher education. He urged prospective learners to follow appropriate procedures when selecting academic pathways and underscored the importance of completing the admissions process diligently. Reiterating a widely held sentiment, he stated, “Padhega India, tabhi toh badhega India.”

Dr Aman Shrivastava, former President of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), participated as the Guest of Honour. He stressed the intrinsic link between education, public health, and national development, while commending both governmental and institutional efforts to expand educational access in underserved regions. He lauded NIU’s role in advancing this collective endeavour.

Other prominent speakers included Mr Rajnish Kashyap, CEO of Smart Homes Bokaro, and Mr Abhay (alias Shyam Nandan Singh), Vice President of Sardar Patel Public School. They were joined by local hosts, Mr Hemant Kumar Jha, Mr Arvind Kumar Singh, and Mr Aditya Jha, as well as NIU representatives. Collectively, they highlighted the importance of bridging academia with real-world opportunities and reaffirmed their shared goal of making quality higher education universally accessible. The event marked a significant step towards fostering regional talent and strengthening institutional-community collaboration.

Editor’s Note

Noida International University’s recent outreach in Bokaro serves as a powerful reminder that education should extend beyond traditional campuses and urban centres. This initiative, which directly engaged with students and parents in their communities, brought a vital human touch to the often impersonal admissions process and deserves recognition. The discussions held were not superficial; they addressed genuine concerns surrounding access, guidance, and the relevance of education. The emphasis placed by leaders on the connection between learning and national progress resonated deeply, making the familiar adage “Padhega India, tabhi toh badhega India” feel authentically earned.

Skoobuzz underlines that more universities must follow this example and engage beyond their institutional boundaries. True educational advancement doesn't solely occur within classrooms; it blossoms when institutions actively listen, engage, and take action where it truly matters.
