‘A Day for Children’: NSU Provides Vital Health Services for Kids Under 16

Fort Lauderdale Campus Welcomes Kids for Free Health and Wellness Event

Nova Southeastern University (NSU) is a private research university in Florida. NSU has expanded to include 14 colleges and offers over 150 programs of study, covering fields such as social sciences, law, health sciences, and business. The university is known for its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement. NSU has announced that its Fort Lauderdale-Davie campus will host “A Day for Children,” offering free and low-cost health services for children under 16. NSU Health Centers will provide health care education and activities focused on vision, medical, speech, behavioral, and dental health, as well as physical and occupational therapy. The event will feature various activities for children. Attendees can enjoy free games, activities, and food at the NSU Alvin Sherman Library. Local law enforcement and first responders will participate in activities throughout the day, enhancing the event's community focus.
Staff from NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library will be available to provide library cards for children and their families. Additionally, librarians will share information about the library’s extensive resources related to health and wellness.
