Future Leaders Programme Marks Milestone in Sector Outreach and Inclusion

Pensions UK Champions Next-Gen Talent Through Conference-Based Engagement

Pensions UK has launched a new Student Initiative in collaboration with Manchester Metropolitan University to expose final-year Finance & Accountancy Students to the possibilities and long-term influence of working in the Pensions Industry. The programme, titled Pensions UK Future Leaders, was officially introduced at this year's annual conference and represents a major step forward in Industry–Academic Partnership and community outreach.

As part of the programme, a maximum of 40 Manchester Met students will take part in bespoke Student Activities that bridge both the Theory and Practice of Pensions and Investments. The sessions are intended to provide insight into the industry from the real world, followed by complete Conference Experience access, including keynote presentations, Networking with Professionals, and organised tours of the exhibition hall.

The scheme is a testament to the dedication of Pensions UK to engaging with the Manchester community and to highlighting the future talent that is entering the pensions industry. Created with the assistance of Manchester Central and Marketing Manchester, the scheme is also in line with more general regional objectives to develop employability and inclusive growth.
