PSEB Enhances Learning with Revised Syllabus and Skill-Based Resources
Punjab Schools to Operate from 8 AM to 2 PM from April 1, Confirms Government

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has officially released the subject-wise syllabus for Classes 1 to 12 for the 2025–26 academic session, as announced on 3 July. Students can access and download the updated curriculum from the board’s official website, pseb.ac.in. According to the board, the syllabi for Classes 1 to 4 and Classes 6 and 7 have been published as grouped documents, while individual syllabi are available for Classes 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12. In addition to the subject content, the board has also released the scheme of studies or examination pattern for each class, which includes revised marking schemes and practical guidelines.
To download the syllabus, students are instructed to visit the official website, click on the ‘Syllabus’ link on the homepage, select the ‘Syllabus 2025–26’ option, and then choose their class and subject. The relevant PDF will open, which can be saved or printed for future use. Moreover, the board has introduced English practical materials designed to enhance students’ listening and language skills. These supplementary resources include instructions, audio files, and worksheets, covering topics such as The Value of Money, Saint Ravidas, A Glimpse of Punjab, Safety While Driving, Marco Polo, Where Is Science Taking Us, Secret of Happiness, Some Glimpses of Ancient Indian Thoughts and Practices, Home-coming, The Making of the Earth, and Rule of the Road.
Additionally, practical sheets have been made available for students in Classes 8 and 10 to support hands-on learning. In a related update, the Punjab government announced that from 1 April 2025, all government, semi-government, and aided schools affiliated with PSEB would operate from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. The revised syllabus and supplementary resources reflect PSEB’s continued efforts to enhance academic clarity, skill development, and structured learning across all grade levels.
