Sangam 2025 Sets High Benchmark for Creativity and Collaboration at Indus Valley World School

Engaging in co-curricular activities is a crucial component of a student’s overall development, complementing academic pursuits and fostering well-rounded individuals. Participation in a variety of events nurtures creativity, teamwork, and leadership skills while also providing a platform for students to showcase their talents and discover new passions. The Inter-House Cultural Fest, Sangam, organised by Indus Valley World School, perfectly exemplifies this enriching experience. Held on March 10 and 11, the two-day event brought together 890 students from Grades VI-IX, highlighting how artistic and cultural expressions can inspire growth alongside academic excellence.

Sangam featured an impressive array of competitions, including Creative Writing, Art and Craft, Dance, Music, Pixel Art, elocation, Photography, Quiz, Non-Fire Cooking, 3D Designing, JAM, and Coding. These events provided students with invaluable opportunities to demonstrate their skills while fostering a spirit of healthy competition and collaboration. As a result, the festival served as a dynamic platform for students to develop and express their creative abilities.

The performances were meticulously evaluated by a distinguished panel of seven external judges in addition to internal experts from BDM International. The panel consisted of Arijit Sen, a renowned photojournalist; Sreerupa Chandra, an enthusiastic dancer; Susrita Nag, an accomplished musician; Sumita Samaddar, an elocution specialist; Sujata Acharya, a classical dancer and educator; Laboni Saha, a music teacher and performer; and Rijula Bharadwaj, an English language expert and debate coach. Together, their combined expertise ensured that the evaluation process was both fair and insightful, offering valuable feedback to the students.

Meanwhile, the school campus buzzed with energy as music, cheers, and applause filled the air, reflecting the passion and dedication poured into every performance. Students not only showcased their talents but also displayed a strong sense of house spirit and camaraderie, further enhancing the vibrant and collaborative atmosphere of the event.

Sangam stood as a remarkable demonstration of Indus Valley World School's commitment to nurturing talent and promoting holistic development. The event's success was largely attributed to the collective efforts of students, teachers, and staff, whose hard work and dedication made it truly exceptional. As the curtains came down on this spectacular celebration, it became clear that Sangam had not only highlighted the immense talent of its participants but had also created cherished memories for all those involved. With its vibrant atmosphere and outstanding performances, Sangam set a high standard for future events, ensuring that the legacy of creativity and excellence will continue to thrive at Indus Valley World School for years to come.
