Sixty Years of Global Impact: University of Warwick Strengthens International Ties

Marking a significant milestone in its history, the University of Warwick celebrated its 60th anniversary on 1 June 2025 with an eminent media event at The Shangri-La in New Delhi. The occasion honoured six decades of academic and research excellence, underscoring the institution’s contributions to innovation and global engagement. The high-profile gathering featured key members of Warwick’s senior leadership, including Global Chief Communications, Marketing and Content Officer Ajay Teli and Director of Communications Corporate Brand, Satnam Rana-Grindley. Both travelled from the UK to engage with the Indian media and reaffirm the university’s commitment to nurturing talent while fostering meaningful international collaborations. Through this event, the University of Warwick reinforced its dedication to advancing education and strengthening global partnerships.

Furthermore, the milestone celebration highlighted Warwick’s legacy of pioneering research, world-class education, and its 25-year partnership with the Tata Group. In addition, it honoured the university’s vibrant alumni community, whose achievements span continents and industries, driving meaningful cross-border change and contributing to India’s entrepreneurial landscape.

One such alumna is Mamta Marasini, an MSc Business with Marketing graduate from Warwick Business School, who embodies the global impact and creativity of Warwick alumni. In November 2023, she founded Roar Corp, a bold creative agency based in New Delhi and Kathmandu. Specialising in brand consulting, event production, social media marketing, and influencer campaigns, Roar Corp has, in under a year, delivered high-impact campaigns for global brands by effectively blending technology, data, and storytelling.

Known as the ‘Chief Lioness’, Mamta Marasini described her vision for Roar as being driven by conviction rather than convenience. She emphasised that Roar is a product of passion and relentless hard work, with no shortcuts. Each project, she noted, is rooted in a commitment to creating bold, thoughtful experiences aligned with clients’ goals, whether through dynamic launches, content strategies, or influencer storytelling ,all aimed at engaging audiences and building meaningful brands.

Significantly, Mamta’s entrepreneurial journey reflects the University of Warwick’s lasting influence on global education and its pivotal role in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship. Under her leadership, Roar Corp has executed impactful campaigns for major global brands such as Superdry, G-Star Raw, Yamaha, and Mothercare. By integrating data-driven strategy, human insight, and advanced tools such as AI, the agency has delivered memorable, measurable outcomes.

Reflecting on her time at Warwick, Mamta credited the university with instilling in her the confidence and clarity to pursue a career in marketing. She shared that her education and the challenges she encountered there helped her understand both her aspirations and the purpose behind them. Proud to be part of the Warwick community, she frequently speaks about how the institution has shaped her professional growth. Now leading Roar Corp, Mamta remains committed to crafting bold, thoughtful, and strategically driven experiences that resonate with audiences and strengthen brand identities. Ultimately, this celebration highlights the University of Warwick’s enduring impact on global education, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
