The Deakin University, established in 1974, is renowned for its high-quality teaching, research, and strong partnerships with industry and government. It began its South Asia operations in 1994 in New Delhi and is celebrating 30 years of impact in India this year.

The University has inaugurated its much-awaited “Deakin Interactive Week” program 2024 at Le Meridien in New Delhi. This event is offered specifically for Indian students to join a series of engaging and informative sessions with Deakin academics, current students, and alumni. Running from September 16 to September 27, Deakin i-Week will take place across seven major cities in India. Ravneet Pawha, Vice President (Global Engagement) and CEO (South Asia) of the University mentioned that Deakin i-Week 2024 reflects the commitment to empowering Indian students with essential knowledge, global insights, and experience required to excel in today's rapidly changing world. She highlighted that the event offers the latest information and personalized guidance to help students succeed academically and professionally. For the last seven years, i-week has been inspiring and empowering Indian students by providing them with a comprehensive view of studying in Australia, providing various academic programs and potential career opportunities to connect with esteemed faculty from multiple departments, including Science, Engineering and Built Environment, Health, Arts and Education, and Business and Law, as well as key staff from student support services like Talent Development and Employment Services.

George Duke, Associate Head of the School for International and Engagement at Deakin University, shared his positive experiences with students and their families.
